Decolam has extended its know-how to sports, manufacturing squash and racquetball court walls. Panels are defect-free, smooth and perfectly aligned as moulding extends the full length of the joints.
The thickness and density of the core particle board panel provide the proper rigidity to ensure good ball return, while the surface texture enhances ball adherence and control.
The entire squash and racquetball wall installation, including doors, complies with the construction standards of the following sections: masonry, metal supports, flooring and ceiling.
Samples and shop-drawings
Submit material samples for architect’s approval. Submit shop-drawings indicating dimensions, fastening methods and specifications.
Storage and handling
Handle panels with care prior to installation to protect the surface. At the building site, avoid abrupt temperature changes and store panels in a dry location sheltered from adverse weather.* Do not place the panels directly on the ground.
* Humidity between 40% and 60%; temperature between 50° and 80° F (10° and 25° C) before installation.
Squash and racquetball walls carry a one-(1) year warranty on materials and labour, subject to proper maintenance and normal use. This warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear, abuse, excessive humidity or dryness, or building defects.
Decolam panels are installed using extruded aluminium components, eliminating the need for screws or other wall-anchoring systems. Decolam’s system results in perfectly even walls and can be installed on metal supports or battened concrete walls.
